KOMEHYO, Japan’s major destination for pre-owned luxury goods, is strengthening its footprint in Thailand with the opening of its 8th store at Central Pinklao, marking the brand’s full-scale entry into Bangkok’s Thon Buri side as demand for authenticated “pre-loved” luxury continues to rise.

The new branch located on the 1st floor of Central Pinklao—is scheduled to officially open on February 20, positioning KOMEHYO closer to shoppers in Thon Buri and nearby provinces following the company’s growth across its earlier seven locations.

“Following the success of our previous seven branches, it’s clear Thai consumers increasingly prioritize the value and quality of pre-owned brand-name items,” said Toru Imai, Managing Director of SAHA KOMEHYO Co., Ltd. “That’s why we’re expanding into the high-potential Thon Buri area to make our services more convenient and accessible to new customer segments.”

Bringing Japan-Standard Service to Bangkok’s West Bank

KOMEHYO said the Central Pinklao expansion will continue to deliver its signature “Relay Use” experience—encouraging customers to give luxury items a second life under the concept “Spread Joy, Spark Happiness.” The company’s operations in Thailand follow Japanese service standards, supported by Japanese experts and trained local specialists, including staff who have completed training in Japan.

The company also highlighted authentication and fair valuation as key to building consumer confidence in Thailand’s growing resale economy.

“We have won customers’ hearts by building trust in product quality,” Imai said. “Every single item undergoes a rigorous authentication process, supported by a global database containing over 2.4 million items per year. That is combined with the deep expertise of our staff to ensure every valuation is accurate and fair—aligned with our goals of fostering a culture of sharing and promoting sustainable consumption.”

A Fast-Growing Market, Driven by Value, Emotion—and Sustainability

Thailand’s pre-owned luxury segment has expanded rapidly as consumers seek both value and authenticity—while many shoppers view luxury resale as more than a transaction, but a way to pass on items with personal meaning. KOMEHYO noted that resale culture increasingly aligns with responsible consumption and helps support broader economic circulation, as goods re-enter the market and create additional activity across retail and services.

KOMEHYO expects the Central Pinklao location—within a recently renovated lifestyle hub—to help accelerate growth by drawing both local shoppers and visitors from surrounding provinces.
