STARLUX Airlines has reinforced its status as one of Asia’s fastest-rising premium carriers after securing the prestigious SKYTRAX 5-Star Airline Rating for the second consecutive year in 2026, while preparing to expand its global footprint with the launch of direct flights to Prague, Czech Republic, from 1 August 2026.
The new Taipei–Prague service marks STARLUX Airlines’ first destination in Europe and represents a major milestone in the carrier’s international growth strategy. For travelers from Thailand, the route will offer convenient connections via Taipei on the Bangkok–Taipei–Prague itinerary.
Founded in 2020, STARLUX has achieved rapid recognition in the global aviation industry. STARLUX Expands to Europe with New Prague Route
The launch of Prague will officially mark STARLUX Airlines’ entry into the European market. The airline currently serves 31 destinations across Asia and North America, while offering seamless connectivity through Taipei to five major U.S. cities: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Ontario, and Phoenix.
Through strategic partnerships with Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, and Etihad Airways, STARLUX passengers can also access wider connections across North America and Europe.
The Bangkok–Taipei–Prague route will operate three times weekly from 1 August to 30 September 2026. Services will then increase to four weekly flights from 1 to 24 October 2026 to support peak-season travel demand.
The new route is expected to strengthen Taipei’s role as a premium transit hub for travelers from Southeast Asia heading to Europe, particularly Thai passengers seeking an alternative connection to Central Europe.
Premium Airbus A350 Experience
Beyond network expansion, STARLUX continues to differentiate itself through its premium inflight experience, supported by its Airbus A350-900 and A350-1000 fleet.

STARLUX AIRSORAYAMA and SNOOPY-Themed Flights Elevate Lifestyle Travel
In addition to its route expansion and service upgrades, STARLUX is advancing its lifestyle travel positioning through two major creative initiatives in 2026.
One of the airline’s key highlights is STARLUX AIRSORAYAMA, a collaboration with renowned Japanese contemporary artist Hajime Sorayama. Under the project, two Airbus A350-1000 aircraft will be transformed into “Flying Masterpieces” named STARLUX AIRSORAYAMA Silver and STARLUX AIRSORAYAMA Gold. Both aircraft are scheduled to enter service in the third quarter of 2026.
STARLUX will also launch its latest “PEANUTS x STARLUX” themed flights under the concept “Across Seasons, Across the World” from 1 July to 31 December 2026 across its network.
The campaign will feature SNOOPY and other beloved PEANUTS characters, bringing seasonal and immersive design elements to the passenger journey. Travelers can expect specially designed boarding passes, baggage tags, paper cups, welcome screens, and inflight amenities inspired by seasonal themes.
Exclusive merchandise collections will also be available through STARLUX Shop and onboard duty-free services from July 2026.
