DKSH has broken ground on a new Medical Device Distribution Center (MDDC) in Bangkok, strengthening Thailand’s healthcare distribution infrastructure and reinforcing supply chain readiness for hospitals and healthcare providers nationwide.
The new facility, scheduled for completion in 2027, is part of DKSH’s long-term investment in a more resilient, efficient, and future-ready healthcare supply chain in Thailand.
According to DKSH, the new center will improve distribution capacity, support urgent care needs, and enhance access to critical medical technologies as healthcare demand continues to rise.
“With our patient-centric approach, the construction of our new Medical Device Distribution Center helps ensure that patients receive the treatments they need, where and when they need them,” said Vorrapong Surachaikulwattana, Vice President, Supply Chain Management, DKSH Thailand.

He said reliable and efficient supply chains are increasingly important as healthcare needs evolve, adding that the new facility will help healthcare providers deliver timely care across the country.
Located on Rama 3 Road in Bangkok, the new MDDC is positioned close to major hospitals and key healthcare institutions. Its location is expected to improve responsiveness, particularly in urgent and surgical cases where speed and reliability are essential.
The new distribution center will replace DKSH’s current MDDC and significantly expand operational capacity. With 2,438 cubic meters of storage space, the facility will offer around double the capacity of the existing center.
DKSH said the larger space, improved workflow design, and dedicated automation zones will allow the company to handle a broader product range, including large medical equipment, while supporting higher order volumes and more complex inventory requirements.
To strengthen operational performance, the new center will also incorporate advanced automation technology, including Robot Climb Picking, which supports storage and order-picking processes from inbound put-away through outbound fulfillment.

The automation is expected to improve picking accuracy, reduce manual handling, and increase efficiency, while also supporting long-term sustainability goals.
DKSH Healthcare currently supports more than 10,000 hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies across Thailand through its nationwide distribution network. The new Bangkok facility will serve as a major hub within that network, alongside satellite medical device distribution centers in other parts of the country.
The facility will operate in line with international healthcare and quality standards, including GDP, PIC/S, WHO GMP/GDP, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485:2016, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018.
The groundbreaking also marks an important milestone during DKSH’s 120th anniversary year in Thailand, highlighting the company’s continued investment in healthcare infrastructure and long-term support for the country’s healthcare ecosystem.
